Talk to a Lawyer (30-minute Consultation)

A private 30-minute call with a practising advocate — scheduled within 48 hours.

Timeline: Scheduled within 48 hours of booking

Priced on consultation

Scope varies by case — an expert confirms the professional fee in writing before any work begins. Government fees are always at actuals.

Overview

Sometimes you do not need a filing or a document — you need a straight answer. Is this contract clause enforceable? Does my landlord's demand hold up? Should I reply to this notice myself or lawyer up? A focused conversation with a practising advocate, before you act, routinely prevents the expensive version of the same conversation later.

ClearTLC schedules a private 30-minute consultation with an advocate from our partner network, matched to your issue area, within 48 hours of booking. You share a short summary and any documents in advance so the call starts informed, not cold. The advocate gives you a candid read on your position, your options and realistic next steps — including, when it is the honest answer, that you do not need to spend anything further.

Consultations are booked through a callback so we can match the right advocate to your matter; the consultation fee is confirmed up front in writing. If the matter proceeds to drafting, a notice or litigation support, the consultation flows straight into that engagement.

Frequently asked questions

Is the consultation confidential?

Yes — the discussion is between you and the advocate, protected by professional privilege. ClearTLC's platform records only the scheduling and the written summary you choose to keep.

What kinds of issues can I bring?

Business contracts, recovery of dues, employment matters, property and tenancy, consumer disputes, notices you have received, and pre-litigation strategy. If your matter needs a specialist we do not have, we say so instead of guessing.

What if 30 minutes is not enough?

Most first questions fit in 30 minutes when the advocate has your summary in advance. If the matter needs more, the advocate will scope the follow-on engagement — extended consultation, drafting or notice — with a written quote.

Can the same advocate handle my matter afterwards?

Usually yes — continuity is the point. The consultation flows into drafting, notice or litigation-support engagements with the same professional wherever possible.

GST & invoicing: Invoiced under SAC 998216 (other legal services) with 18% GST on the professional fee.
