Overview

An income-tax return filed correctly does more than close the year: it is the income proof behind loan applications and visas, the only route to claiming refunds of excess TDS, and the record the department matches against your AIS. Filing carelessly — a mismatched AIS entry, a missed deduction, the wrong regime — either leaves money on the table or invites a notice.

ClearTLC's ITR service is built around that reconciliation. A tax professional reviews your Form 16, AIS and 26AS together, checks every income head (salary, house property, capital gains from your broker statements, interest income the AIS already knows about), compares your liability under the old and new regimes, and files the return you approve. The acknowledgement and computation sheet are delivered to your vault, and we track the e-verification so the filing is actually complete.

The price shown covers salaried returns (single or multiple Form 16s, one house property, standard deductions). Business income, presumptive taxation (44AD/44ADA), capital-gains-heavy returns and company returns (ITR-6) are quoted individually — start the order and describe your situation, or ask for a callback.

How it works

  1. 1

    Share documents

Upload Form 16 and supporting documents; grant AIS/26AS consent.

  2. 2

    Preparation & reconciliation

A professional reconciles AIS/26AS, applies deductions, compares regimes and shares the computation for approval.

  3. 3

    Return filed

The approved return is filed on the income-tax portal and e-verification is completed.

  4. 4

    Acknowledgement delivered

ITR-V and the computation sheet land in your document vault; refunds are tracked to credit.

Documents required

  • PAN and Aadhaar (linked)
  • Form 16 from each employer for the year
  • Bank account details for the refund
  • Consent to fetch AIS / 26AS data
  • Broker capital-gains statement, rent receipts, deduction proofs — where applicable

What you get

  • Filed ITR with acknowledgement (ITR-V)
  • Computation sheet showing income heads, deductions and tax
  • Old-vs-new regime comparison for the year
  • Refund tracking until credited (where a refund arises)

Frequently asked questions

Which ITR form applies to me?

Salaried individuals typically file ITR-1 (or ITR-2 with capital gains or multiple properties); business and professional income moves you to ITR-3 or the presumptive ITR-4; companies file ITR-6. Our professional selects the correct form — filing on the wrong form makes a return defective.

Old regime or new regime — which should I choose?

It depends on your deductions: the old regime rewards HRA, 80C, 80D and home-loan interest; the new regime offers lower slab rates with almost no deductions. We compute both and file whichever leaves you more money — the comparison is part of the deliverable.

I changed jobs during the year and have two Form 16s. Is that covered?

Yes — multiple Form 16s are the most common cause of surprise tax dues (both employers apply the basic exemption). We consolidate them correctly; this is included in the salaried price.

What if I missed the filing due date?

A belated return can be filed until December 31 of the assessment year with a statutory late fee, and certain losses cannot be carried forward. We file belated and revised returns as part of the same service.

What does the AIS have to do with my return?

The Annual Information Statement lists what the department already knows — salary, interest, dividends, securities trades, large payments. Returns that contradict the AIS are flagged automatically, so we reconcile every AIS line before filing.

My income is from business or freelancing, not salary. What is the fee?

Business and professional returns (including presumptive 44AD/44ADA and company ITR-6) vary with complexity, so they are quoted individually after a short review — start the order or request a callback and we will confirm the fee in writing.

GST & invoicing: Invoiced under SAC 998231 (tax consultancy and preparation services) with 18% GST on the professional fee.

Questions about income tax return (itr) filing?

An expert will call you back during business hours — the fee is always confirmed in writing before work begins.
